A Typical Day
Generally, the Fellow's rotations take place in the morning hours. For example,
during your Orthopedics rotation with Dr. Vailas you will spend Monday, Tuesday,
Thursday and Friday mornings following him through his office hours. On Wednesday
you will spend most of the day with him in surgery. In the afternoon hours,
you will be either in the Apple Therapy clinic where you are primarily responsible
for our athletic injury drop-in clinic, or at Central High School working as
their ATC. The drop-in clinic is busiest in the fall. During the winter and
spring, you will spend an increasing amount of time working directly with physical
therapy patients, and learning about clinical athletic training - hands on!
You will also have game coverage duties throughout the year.
